An on-tour commentary enriches all our cruises! The commentary is available mostly in Finnish, but all our crew speak English. We have also launched a new MeriSet mobile app for a more immersive experience. The app is in Finnish, but it contains language-independent features like a real-time map that can be enjoyed by all.
Naval battles of Svensksund
The decisive naval battle of the Russo-Swedish war in the late 18th century was fought off the coast of Kotka and ended in Swedish victory. The cruise takes you to the scene of this largest-ever naval battle fought in the Gulf of Finland. Departure and return at Kotka (Sapokka or Kantasatama).

Pirate cruise for children
Our pirate cruise has been a hit with the kids for many summers. As our comfortable cruiser turns into a pirate ship and carries its swashbuckling crew towards a treasure island, the little pirates themselves can study their treasure maps, steer the ship with the captain’s help and take part in the many activities we have planned. Captain Knobblyfingers and crew welcomes you on board! Yarrr!

Island outing for children
Our island outings allow children to explore the island’s nature and its wonders along a nature trail, crowned by a packed lunch by a campfire. On the return journey, everyone has an opportunity to steer the ship with the captain’s help. We offer island outings to the Kukouri sea fortress, Varissaari, Lehmäsaari or Ulkonuokot.

Public cruises
Join our public cruises for a delightful maritime experience – on your own or with friends! Public cruises also provide an affordable alternative for small groups to embark on the sea. Please see the timetable for public cruise departures on our front page.
Important information
- Cruises depart from and return to Kotka (Sapokka, piers 2 & 3).
- Free parking is available nearby (navigator address: Sapokankatu 3, 48100 Kotka).
- Boarding begins half an hour before departure.
- Cruise tickets can be purchased in advance in our webstore (in Finnish). If there are tickets still available on the day of departure, they may be purchased at the pier.
- Disabled people or people with reduced mobility will be assisted aboard.
- Sweet and savoury snacks and beverages are available in an onboard cafeteria during the trip.
Arctic birds
The migration of waterfowl and shorebirds on the coast of the Gulf of Finland is a unique event even on a global scale. Millions of birds pass the Gulf on their way to the Siberian tundra for nesting. Our cruises offer a prime seat for watching this magnificent play, the height of which takes place mid-May. No prior knowledge of birds is required, as the cruises are hosted by a professional nature guide.

Tammio fishing village
The island of Tammio with its old fishing village is the best-preserved archipelago community in the Eastern Gulf of Finland. The island was first settled in the 16th century, and you can still sense the past centuries of island life in every corner of the village.
Please note that the island paths and roads are uneven in places. If you arrive in a wheelchair, please notify us beforehand.

Evening river cruise
Enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery in the luminous summer night. The cruise takes you from the Sapokka water garden to the Karhula Jokipuisto park. An onboard cafeteria serves the passengers during the cruise.
Timetable 2023 will be published at a later date. The cruise is organised twice in July, on Saturdays.

Kotka by sea
